Community Outreach Coordinator

The Community Outreach Director/ Liaison is responsible for managing referrals and business development for their accounts and community area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to those listed below. Maintaining excellent customer service to achieve Sabers’ business objectives is our goal. This Community Outreach Coordinator primarily supports locations in Virginia Beach as well as other Tidewater area skilled nursing facilities. Position Success will be measured by referral volume, relationship development, census targets, and census trends.

Qualifications/ Responsibilities:
• Working clinical knowledge of medical terminology, and healthcare industry trends are required
• Demonstrated success with strong sale and marketing skilled in post-acute industry
• Ability to apply critical thinking to a variety of situation, assess business objective, develop, implement, and monitor effective business plans for improvement
• Possess knowledge of reimbursement regulations as well as law, and guidelines pertaining to healthcare
• Ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel and develop/maintain good personnel relations and employee morale
• Ability to work independently, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive feedback
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required
• Minimum of two (2) years college education in the field of healthcare administration, business management, and/or marketing or public relations preferred but not required
• Clinical background preferred but not required; RN, LPN, RT, SW, PT-OT-SP
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
